Private Instruction

Some players in our league have desired private instruction to increase their development. Below is a list of some of individuals that have provided instruction to some kids in our league in the past. This is not a recommendation or endorsement, but simply a resource for a families to use if they are interested in private instruction. LJYB takes no responsibility for any decision.

Jeb Dougherty Baseball - Provides clinics, camps, and individual lessons. Several instructors are available to help in a variety of areas. Jeb played division I baseball at USD and played professional baseball in the Anaheim Angels farm system.

Jackson Crowther Pitching Lessons - Jackson played college baseball at UC Riverside and went on to play professional baseball with the Expos. Jackson is a certified personal trainer and currently works at USC, but comes down for weekend lessons.

Brickyard Cages - http://www.brickyardcages.com/. A brand-new premier instruction, training, and recreation center for baseball and softball players of all ages and abilities. The cutting-edge facility is located by the I-5/8 intersection. The have cages, offer private instruction, clinics, camps, and birthday parties.

JP Longball - http://www.jplongball.com. An indoor batting center located in the heart of San Diego near University of San Diego. The facility houses 5 batting cages with dirt batting surfaces in two of them. The speed of our pitching machines can cater to individuals just starting out to seasoned professionals. We also offer personalized hitting, pitching, and fielding instruction by our highly qualified and skilled instructors. They also run camps and clinics.

Ryan Lehr Hitting Instruction - Under the direction of seven-time all-star Reggie Smith, who is currently the hitting coach for USA Baseball, Ryan has developed instruction focusing on the physics and biomechanics of the power swing.
