How to Change Contact Info on Roster
by posted 02/10/2010

If you want to change roster/contact information, including nickname, phone number, add email addresses, etc., you will need to access your "member profile."  You can do that be selecting "Edit My Account" at the bottom of the blue vertical menu bar on the left side of the website on the home page.  Just type in your email address and the site will send you a password to edit your contact info and/or the contact information for your kid.  Any questions, contact us at: .

Note also that all member profiles have a default to be notified about an upcoming game or practice.  Several families have already commented that they appreciate this feature.  But, if you no longer wish to receive these notifications, you can toggle them off at your member profile as well.

Still Possible to Sign-Up for Shetland!
by posted 02/06/2010

While Shetland teams have been formed, it is still possible to sign-up for Shetland Baseball.  This is for 5-6 year olds (born between 5/1/03 and 4/30/05).  We still have a limited number of spots on each team, so we should be able to place you on a team with a friend.  You can register online.  The season just started March 6, so there is still time to get on a team!

Fields and the Rain
by posted 02/06/2010

When the fields are officially closed because of rain, we will post on the website and send out an e-blast as soon as we can.  If it is not posted on the website and/or you have not received an e-blast, you should assume that the fields are still open.  If the fields have not been officially closed but there is still light rain, it is largely at the discretion of each manager whether to still hold practice.

Regarding practices, this year we have access to three additional playing fields behind Torrey Pines school.  Most leagues will be using a variety of fields for practices.  Please refer to our "Fields Map" if you are unsure of the location of your scheduled practice field.

Equipment and Other Needs
by posted 02/04/2010

The league will provide each kid with a jersey and hat.   Each parent is responsible for purchasing baseball pants, socks, belt, cleats, and protective cup.  It is also possible to get a combination sliding shorts/protective cup, which is recommended.  Your manager will be in touch regarding the colors of these accessories.  You can purchase these items either in a retail store or online.  Some retail stores are: Sport Chalet, Sports Authority, Big Five, and Charlie Rose Baseball Equipment.  Some online stores include: BaseballSavings.com, BaseballExpress.com, and HitRunScore.com.

Note that all kids will also need a signed Parental Authorization and Medical Release form to participate this year.  Please make sure your manager has a signed form.

Also, don't forget about our "Exchange" area to buy and sell used equipment.  Go Green! - and recycle that old equipment within the LJYB community.

Finally, if you would like to order extra team hats (minimum order of 6) or jersey, the following document has contact and order number information.
